The Prime Areas of Learning:

The Specific Areas of Learning:

  • Literacy

Within the EYFS curriculum children are encouraged and supported to be independent learners. The 'characteristics of effective learning' describe the ways in which children are actively involved in their own learning and personal development.

Characteristics of Effective Learning

  • Playing and Exploring

  • Active Learning

  • Creating and Thinking Critically
